Editorial Policy
Payment Route Guide organizes payment information around routes rather than brand lists. We distinguish the live merchant or recipient door, payer-side product or rail, profile and country gates, authentication, funding or authorization, money trail, second-charge or transfer lifecycle, payment state, refund, dispute, recall, and recovery.
Our editorial goal is to identify the route, transaction state, controlling party, evidence level, exact eligibility conditions, and next safe check without presenting a payment-method logo, provider page, domestic availability, or successful authentication as a guarantee of merchant acceptance or payment approval.
What We Cover
Payment Route Guide focuses on topics such as:
- Country Maps and payer → destination Route Maps
- Subscription signup, second charge, retry/grace, cancellation, refund, and recovery
- Card authorization, funding layers, holds, disputes, refunds, and payment-state mismatches
- PayPal checkout, wallet handoffs, account-to-card products, prepaid programs, virtual credentials, bank rails, and closed balance
- Profile and country gates including billing, card country, account/store region, and shipping
- Authentication gates including frictionless and challenge 3D Secure flows
- Currency money trails, posting, delivered amount, provider or issuer fees, and refund conversion
- Alternative-layer selection based on the live door and payment job rather than a generic fallback list
How We Organize Payment Information
Payment information can depend on the payer and merchant or recipient countries, exact card/account product, billing and store profile, merchant integration, payment rail, recipient type, currency, available funds or credit, recurring-payment or transfer setup, authentication, limits, fees, order state, payment state, and applicable rules.
To make this easier to understand, we organize information by:
- Payer country, merchant or recipient destination, live corridor, and currency pair
- Exact payer-side layer or rail, such as direct card profile, PayPal account, wallet handoff, account-to-card product, prepaid program, virtual credential, domestic payment system, bank rail, or closed balance
- Order and payment state, including no order, created, declined, pending, authenticated, authorized, completed, reversed, returned, refunded, disputed, unreconciled, or recalled
- Payment job, including one-time purchase, subscription signup or renewal, free trial, travel hold, invoice, merchant checkout, or verified-recipient transfer
- Conditions such as live merchant or recipient support, product/profile eligibility, country pair, authentication, funding state, second charge, money trail, fees, limits, timing, and refund or recovery path
Route Status Labels
Route status describes the current evidence for a payment path. It does not guarantee approval for an individual account, merchant, currency, recipient, or transaction.
- Active: Current evidence supports an available route, subject to its product and transaction conditions.
- Limited: The route is available only for selected products, accounts, institutions, merchants, countries, currencies, recipients, or transaction types.
- Unverified: Current official evidence is insufficient; the route should not be presented as generally available.
- Temporarily unavailable: The route or product is currently paused, disabled, or unavailable.
- Discontinued: The product or route has ended and old instructions should not be relied on.
- Workaround only: The path is not a standard or clearly documented route and must be labeled as a workaround rather than ordinary availability. A workaround is not presented as a repair for an unresolved payment state, and unsupported bypasses using false profile data, borrowed accounts, location masking, or attempts to evade identity or provider controls are not treated as normal troubleshooting.
Confidence Labels
Confidence reflects the quality and recency of the available evidence, not the probability that an individual payment will succeed.
- High: Strong current official evidence supports the claim.
- Medium: Official evidence supports the main route, but important merchant, product, or transaction conditions remain.
- Low: Evidence is incomplete, narrow, old, or indirect.
- Needs verification: The claim should be checked again before it is presented as current.
How We Check Information
We prioritize official provider, bank, regulator, payment-network, merchant, platform, and payment-system documentation. Community reports and common search wording can help identify symptoms and vocabulary, but they do not replace official evidence for availability, countries, fees, limits, product rules, rail behavior, or recovery conditions.
We distinguish several evidence layers: saved WordPress content, final public HTML, current official-source claims, account-specific issuer or provider messages supplied by the user, server-side verification, and Local Visual Inspector results when available. Server validation confirms the saved/public output and technical integrity; visual validation confirms appearance separately. We do not report “visually confirmed” when only server validation is complete.
Update Policy
Important route pages may include a last-verified date, next-review date, route status, confidence level, official-source list, and structured route fields such as payer/recipient countries, currencies, provider, funding method, recipient method, route status, and confidence. Fees, exchange rates, limits, timing, authentication, recurring-payment behavior, transfer state, refunds, and availability are treated as changeable information.
We review important pages when official rules, product availability, supported countries, payment rails, merchant integrations, fees, limits, authentication, recurring billing, transfer behavior, refund/recovery conditions, or public-output problems change. A review date does not guarantee that no later change has occurred; live checkout, recipient instructions, provider account state, and current official terms remain the final operational source.
Independence
Payment Route Guide is an independent website. We are not owned by or officially affiliated with the payment providers, card issuers, banks, online services, or companies mentioned on this website unless clearly stated.

Corrections
If you find information that appears outdated, unclear, or incorrect, please contact us through the Contact page. We review substantive corrections against the underlying official source, saved content, public output, route state, or account-specific evidence as appropriate. We update the relevant claim after verification and avoid treating a screenshot, anecdote, or workaround as proof of general route availability.
